Welcome to Taps & Tatts! I’m Shey, and I’m so excited to share my passion for tattooing with you in a fun and interactive way. Whether you’re here to learn the art of tattooing or simply looking to enjoy a social, creative night out with friends, I’ll be there to guide you through every step of the process.

A Journey Through Art & Ink

From a young age, I was always drawn to art. As a child, I found my voice through drawing and quickly realized that art would always be my passion. After years of running a beauty business, I still felt like something was missing. That’s when I made a life-changing decision to become a tattoo apprentice under the mentorship of an award-winning artist in Belgium.

After completing my apprenticeship, I opened my own tattoo studio in 2020, where I truly discovered the power of translating personal stories into lasting, meaningful artwork. It was a dream come true. I was in my element, working closely with clients to bring their visions to life on skin.

A New Chapter in Queensland

Now, I’ve moved across the globe to Queensland in 2022, and after taking some time to settle in, I’m ready to continue my journey after owning my own tattoo business. I’ve taken everything I’ve learned along the way and am thrilled to bring my fine line expertise to Taps & Tatts workshops.

These workshops are a reflection of my belief that tattooing is for everyone, whether you’re looking to try something new or dive into a creative, hands-on experience. You’ll get the chance to learn the basics of fine line tattooing on fake skin while enjoying a drink and having fun with friends. I can’t wait to help you discover the artist within you!

Life Beyond Tattoos

Outside of tattoos, I’m a loving mother of 2, stepmother of 4 (yes, that’s 6 kids!). I’m supported by my amazing, loving partner, who has always encourages me to follow my dreams.

I speak several languages, including Flemish, Dutch, English (with a few accents), Tagalog, French, and I’m currently learning Spanish. When I’m not in the studio or hosting a Taps & Tatts workshop, you’ll likely find me camping, discovering new places, singing or dancing (my greatest passion).

Taps & Tatts is all about creating memorable, hands-on experiences. I’ve always believed that tattoos are a beautiful form of self-expression, and with these workshops, I want to bring that to life in a fun, accessible way. Whether you’re hosting a party or looking for a creative night out, these workshops are designed to make everyone feel welcome, no matter their experience level.
